With a wet Saturday it was a cue for some inside work. Stephen and Brian have been busy constructing the new shelving inside the Paddock hut to store the marquee equipment. Elsewhere a new gate frame for near the Camping Coach was built using second hand materials and the new (shock horror!) hinges were painted.
Sunday dawned bright and sunny. All the spare fence timber has now been tidied up and placed into store in one of our wagons.
The empty windows in the paddock hut now sport new (to us) panes of glass expertly fitted and puttied in by Kevin. He has also glazed the missing pane in the replacement window frame for the cottage (the existing is rotten and has cracked glass. The steel pipe under the lineside huts has been partly faced in stone by one of the Community Payback team.
Tony has continued building the new noticeboards and John Brue, the Goathland Station Master, came to inspect the works on his boards.
Pansies, primulas and vegetable seeds have been planted today by Richard and Patience. Hopefully the frosts will not harm them.
